    Finally, Menopause Relief, & UPDATE
It’s been only two nights/days, and four Life Extension Iso Flavone pills–one in the AM and one in the PM after a meal–and I slept the entire night. I SLEPT THE ENTIRE NIGHT. (My brain is so perky in the morning and I’m rested.) Hot flashes and night sweats did NOT happen. If they did I would be awake, overheated and have the A/C on so high my bedroom would be a fridge while the rest of my neighborhood is sleeping contentedly under warm covers. I’d be plotting how to escape this whole menopause madness. Now I’m in full blown REM, not OMG.UPDATE on 9/3/19Im still sleeping soundly and I can actually remember my dreams.I also feel more calm during the day, rather than irritable at the slightest obstacle. I feel resilient.Wish I could put it in auto delivery.

    What happened?
Since Life Extension did away with the Ultra Soy Isoflavones that worked for me and had any benefit I am having to use these although they don’t work anywhere near as well for me to get closer to what is required. You have to have 50 mg of Soy Isoflavones daily or of specific Soy Isoflavones (15 mg of Genistein or 28 mg of Daidzein) to receive any benefit for bones and other things all over your body that natural or surgical menopause affects. These you body has to try and break down more to be able to use them where the Ultra did not require that. If your body cannot produce the S-Equol from these it needs they will not work. So it’s not a matter of your body building it up, it’s a matter of your body being able to produce the Equol needed. Most company just throw Isoflavones out there that really do not match the requirement and people get frustrated when they don’t work believing that the should because they are all the same. With these being 40% Isoflavones which is 54 mg Isoflavones. To get the other benefits from Genistein and it being 15% of that it is still only 8.1 mg Genistein and even less of the Daidzein per capsule. So you would need to take 3 of these to get what you need. From the specific Isoflavones. I want to add also after researching that if it is made from the Soy Germ that it’s more potent than coming from the bean or seed. It has 7x the potency if made from Soy Germ alone. All I say is “Buyer Beware” and make sure that you “Do the Research”.

Moderately effective with 2 per day
I had to switch from I-Cool when our Walmart stopped carrying it (was doing a reliable job minimizing Hot-Flashes). This Soy based product seemed less expensive and was worth trying. At one a day this would have been less expensive, but this dosage resulted in hot flash episodes which disturbed my sleep (I’m small-boned at 125 lb.). I switched to 2 per day and that seems to do the trick, but the cost then compares to I-cool if you don’t want to be tangled in a subscription program. I’ll probably go back to I-cool from on-line.

Using to thin mucin produced by my cancer
WARNING, THE FOLLOWING CONTAINS MEDICAL CONTENT! I have Pseudomyxoma Peritoni (PMP), which is basically cancer of the appendix. The appendix was removed, but the damage was already done. It’s still over producing mucin in my gut. Mucin is a glycoprotein found in mucus. The mucin (jelly like substance) tends to grow and wrap around organs until you die. I’ve had about 7 different surgeries but still no cure. All that can be done is to debulk the mucin that accumulates. So I like to do my own research on new studies being done. There’s a doctor in Australia who uses a Bromelain and NAC solution to dissolve mucin. So, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to take those supplements (which I’ve been taking for more than a year). I did more research and found that pseudomyxoma peritonei is a disease of MUC2-expressing goblet cells. Doctor’s found that primary PMP cells increased MUC2 (mucin) production and the effects were suppressed by Genistein. And I’ve also read on other sites how Genistein aids in mucus thinning and digestion. So in October 2016 I ordered this product since it contains Genistein (a soy isoflavone). I think this may actually be helping! Since the surgeries, my body is able to drain some of mucin being produced. About 3 months after using these pills I’ve noticed that the mucin is much thinner; not thick and jelly like…so it seems like more of it is being drained than before! I’ve also noticed that the mucus in my nose is thinner too. It is annoying to be plagued with the loose dripping mucus in my nose, but I will certainly live with it if it helps my cancer!

    Effective at stopping hot flashes.
The women in my family suffer from hot flashes for many years after menopause. My mother suffered from them until her death at age 90. My sister and I use life Extension Isoflavones and have had great relief. I still take a tiny does of estrogen/medroxyprogesterone every other day and am flash free with the use of isoflavones.

    Great product!
After reading the book “surviving terminal cancer” I started to buy lots of supplements for my husband, to help him battle his terminal brain cancer. I buy resveratrol, high quality fish oil, vitamin D3, melatonin, quercetin, lycopene, garlic, green tea, boswellia, milk thistle, mushrooms (Coriolus, chaga, etc), CoQ10, selenium, curcumin, berberine, and a few other ones. So far he is tolerating chemo really well and tumor continues to shrink substantially. The downside of these supplements is that it can be quite expensive but the quality is very high. Life extension does a lot of research and their products are very high quality. You know you are getting the strength it says on the bottle. I don’t dare buy from a cheaper company that does not do individual test to make sure their quality is outstanding. Capsules are also easy to swallow (my husband takes a hand full with no problems!
