This is a great tool if you have a horticultural project
This is a soil pH tester, which can also be used for liquids. It has a permeable last tip which contains a green liquid and within the tip are the electrodes for the pH and for temperature and it does an excellent job. I’ve never seen a soil pH meter quite like this. It has worked very well for me, especially since my lake water pH at 7.4 and I was very close to nutrient lockout. I give this meter five stars without hesitation a soil pH meter and a liquid pH meter in one a winning combination. One of these belongs in every growers toolbox. Never trust your water until you know.

Oh my! This ph, EC, salt, light meter, wet/dry monitoring device is absolutely amazing. It’s Bluetooth ready with a free app that measures almost everything in your grow tent medium. It’s precise and extremely accurate. It’s a must have for every grow tent. I’ve never owned something so helpful for my grows. It records and saves every test your preform if you choose so you can monitor any sudden changes. I highly recommend!

I went through the process, as directed, to calibrate at pH 4, 7, and 10 with the included buffers, but the unit was precisely calibrated already right out of the box. I appreciate the guard for pH’ing soil, even though that will not be its primary use. So far it’s very consistent.

Accurate Enough for Daily Use, Super Easy to Handle
I’ve tried a couple of Blue Lab pH testers before, but they only worked for liquids—not soil. When I came across this Soil pH Meter, I was curious if it would make testing runoff easier… and it totally does. Now checking pH is quick, simple, and way less stressful.The Bluetooth feature is a game changer—readings go straight to my phone, so no more jotting things down or trying to remember numbers. It even measures temperature, which helps me get a fuller picture of my setup.You’ll need to calibrate it with the included solution the first time, but that’s a fast, painless step. My only gripe (and the reason it’s 4 stars) is that even right after calibration with the solution, the readings can still be about ±0.1 off. Not a big deal for everyday use, but worth noting if you need lab-level precision. I’ve used it indoors and outdoors, and overall, it’s been reliable, easy to use, and way less hassle than other testers I’ve tried.

While this digital soil pH meter arrived with a wide array of accessories and clear instructions, the device failed to function as a reliable testing tool right out of the box. The unit powers on and the display is clear, but the pH reading remains stuck and does not change regardless of the medium it is placed in. Whether testing liquid nutrient solutions or various types of garden soil, the sensor does not respond to different acidity levels, making it impossible to evaluate soil fertility or adjust plant nutrients as advertised. Even after attempting to troubleshoot the device, the lack of movement in the digital reading suggests a significant defect in the internal sensor or the calibration system. It is disappointing to receive a product that appears to be working but fails to perform its primary task, as a dependable meter is essential for anyone trying to avoid expensive laboratory tests. Because the core functionality is missing, the included extras like the calibration powders and mobile app connectivity are essentially useless.

Great Garden Tool, PH, Acid, Water and More Just Hard to Understand
Great tool to test soil composition and other things. Just can not figure it out? I have read the instructions over and over. Used the test packets with not a lot of luck. I farm and grow lots of plants and like to keep an eye on PH, acidity and water quality. The unit seems of good quality, durable has a good display and very readable. The blue tooth app did not work for me but would prefer not to use it anyway. I am not sure of the accuracy and temperature readings as it is a bit over my head. I am computer savvy and not a digital failure but do not have hours on end to figure it out. I am sure if you have experience using this type of meter it is great for the price.

There have been times we’ve had issues that say the pH is off, be we never really knew for sure. Now, we can test right away and know exactly what we are dealing with. The meter was easy to calibrate with the included solutions. I like the protective tips and the app is a game changer for us. The battery life seems great and I absolutely love how easy it is to use. A great item that we should have had years ago!
