Definitely recommend!
taking three pills a day felt like a lot at first, it’s absolutely worth it for how complete the formula is. TheraNatal is designed based on current research and what OBs actually recommend, which gives me a lot of confidence in what I’m putting into my body. One thing I really appreciate is that it includes active folate (Quatrefolic) instead of synthetic folic acid, which is better absorbed especially for women with MTHFR gene variants. It also has the full recommended daily dose of DHA and EPA omega-3s, which are super important for baby’s brain and eye development.I’ll be honest, you might get a little bit of that fishy burp, but it’s not too bad and kind of expected with fish oil supplements.I’ve recommended this to several of my pregnant friends and they all really like it too. It just feels good knowing you’re getting everything you need in one go without having to buy a bunch of separate vitamins.

Transparent Ingredients & Phenomenal Packaging
I like the transparency of what is actually in these vitamins and trust that it is a solid prenatal. I don’t mind the fact that it’s three separate pills, that actually makes me feel more confident that each one has a job and I’m getting everything I need.I’ve seen some reviews about the taste, granted I don’t have bad morning sickness, but I don’t mind the taste at all. To me it is just like taking any other vitamins.I’m obsessed with the packaging, my toddler mom and pregnancy brain sometimes can’t keep up with what day it is or what I had for breakfast (or if I ate breakfast) so the days written on each pack has helped me more than once remember if I already had or hadn’t taken them that day. Game changer! They do seem a little expensive, but to me these early stages through pregnancy is one of if not the most crucial time to support your baby with what you need so I will make sacrifices elsewhere to continue purchasing this prenatal.

Don’t worry – It is NOT mold on your pills!
I wanted to write this review to put mama’s (pregnant or trying to conceive) mind’s at ease! I thought the same thing, that my pills we’re molding. They had white and dark speckled spots on them. I am pregnant, and have been taking these pills for over 6 months, so yes I had a freak out at the time! But I contacted the company and actually spoke to my doctor and they both reassured me that the pills are fine and they are NOT molding. This was the direct response from Theralogix: “Theralogix does not use excessive coatings or artificial dyes, and recently we removed titanium dioxide from our coatings due to customer feedback, so now the nutrients, especially choline and iron, show through the coating of the tablets. These nutrients can first look like white speckles and then slowly darken and look like tar. Sometimes people mistaken the spots to be mold. This spotting is completely normal. The product has not gone bad and the tablets are safe to consume.”Titanium dioxide was preserving the coating of the pills better, since they removed it (so glad they did!) the nutrients are just showing through the coating. Just wanted to put your minds at ease! 🙂

Bad quality, short shelf life, rotting quickly
These vitamins were fine upon arrival, but after only about 2 months they began to go bad. I kept them in a cool, dry place and had extra anti-dessicant packs in a container with them. However the brown pills smell absolutely rancid, rotten, like a dead animal. The rotten smell is overwhelming. I have had to throw away most of the packs and have to sort through to find ones that are not rotten smelling. For a nearly brand new product this is unacceptable, especially when you consider the price.

High quality pills, low quality packaging
Lots of great nutrients in these three pills! However the speckles tablet tastes awful and smells so bad that early on in pregnancy, just opening the package made me gag. And speaking of packaging, if I could score it separately it would get 1 star. It’s a fight to open the blister packs! I have used variations of this brand for almost five years and the blister packs are always frustratingly difficult to open! Getting the individual versions in the jar is better, but for the Complete you’d have to buy three different things. I have also read several reviews claiming this brand is why women believe they’re pregnant and maybe so but don’t put too much faith in it. This is the brand my OBGYN recommended and I’ve taken variations (depending on if we were pregnant or not) daily for almost five years and had recurrent pregnancy loss and extended infertility. I don’t believe this has anything to do with these prenatals, but just trying to give a measured response to those who say these pills are why they have their baby.

“The Best” Prenatals out there
This was highly recommended when I did a search for “the best” prenatal vitamins to take, and have just about finished up with the third month of taking them and ready to order again. In comparison with other vitamins, the amount is way lower, they aren’t too big and contain all of the essentials needed for my pregnancy so I won’t have to go searching for other vitamins to take in addition to these. Can’t complain there! There’s no taste, however I get the fishy burps about 15 min after taking them. I guess it can’t be helped. I do experience very slight nausea 30 min to an hour after taking them too but it’s tolerable. I read people have complained about mold on their pills… I keep mine in a plastic baggy sealed up WITH the dry packet that it comes with so I haven’t experienced that. All in all, they’re pills. Not thrilled to take them but no one usually is. Therefore, I’ll give a thumbs up!
