    Excellent bike
Comfortable design and quiet. Sturdy. Love that it’s more of a full body workout than a regular exercise bike. Still have to read the directions for the control panel options, have been really enjoying the simplicity— no subscription either!Ride as fast or slow as you want. Use your arms and legs. Or either. Feel like it’s also working my core. Like the light breeze from the front air wheel. Wish I had gotten this bike years ago!

    Great Workout! Built to last!
Schwinn Airdyne Bikes are truly commercial grade fitness equipment. I ran a student fitness facility with over 500 members in college and we had 2 Airdynes. Those bikes were used everyday for years and never had a problem. They are built to last! They also provide a fairly intense workout that can be scaled up or down to meet most people’s needs. The only thing that I think that could be better would be the seats……they can cause Paresthesia if you ride for a long duration. Replacing the seat with one made to prevent this issue would be a good investment.

Solid, well built machine that will really push you to the limit.
The bike was well packaged and the box was in perfect condition upon arrival. Assembly was very straightforward. I did have an issue with one of the cables that connect the display panel falling inside the frame. This was a real pain in the butt and almost ended with the bike being returned but I was able to fish it out of the frame and complete the assembly. Once assembled I was very impressed with the build quality. Very solid, doesn’t move around at all, even with me going as hard as I can. I’m a big guy and I can honestly say this thing is a solid as my commercial Lifefitness bike and my Stairmaster freeclimber. Kudos to Schwinn for creating a serious bike that will hold up under intense use. That being said, it is extremely smooth in use. The belt drive is very direct with no driveline lash or noise. The handlebar arms are made of heavy gauge steel and are very solid with no free play or slop at all. The display is very intuitive and easy to use, with all information available at a glance. I really like the speedometer setup as it’s easy to read and leaves a hash mark at the highest recorded speed which is very helpful. I only wish the display was backlit. It would make those early morning sessions a little more convenient if I didn’t have to turn on all the lights on order to read the display. This seems to be a common thread with all of these type of books. One other thing to note, the heart rate monitor will not work with a coded chest strap. I have a Polar H10 which will not connect to the bike telemetry. I ended up purchasing a Polar T34 which is non coded and works perfectly. Also of note, the seat isn’t great but it’s not terrible. I may replace it in the future. The rubber coating on the handlebar arms is heavy duty and feels nice in hand. There’s plenty of seat adjustment range both vertical and fore and aft. Honestly, just very satisfied with this bike and I find it to be a worthwhile purchase that I will get a lot of use out of. Speaking of use, this thing absolutely provides a killer cardio workout. I’ve been using the 20/10 interval training routine that is one of the presets and it absolutely kicks butt. I’m able to burn as many calories on this in 15 minutes as I can on my lifecycle in a half hour. It gets my heart rate up in a hurry and keeps it there.Bottom line, if your looking for a quality airdyne style bike for HIIT training, look no further. This thing is the real deal.Update: After a couple months with this machine I really love it. It’s gotten me in better shape than I’ve been in for a very long time. It’s very well built, quiet, smooth due to the belt drive system and enjoyable to use. The only negatives iare the stock seat isn’t comfortable at all which I promptly replaced with a Velmia memory foam touring seat which I purchased on Amazon (awesome seat byw, made a huge difference) and the heart rate monitor is very inconsistent. It works when it feels like it. It cuts out during workouts or sometimes won’t work at all. It also reads about 10 bpm high at all times. I called Schwinn and they promptly sent out a replacement console but to no avail. same issue. tried multiple heart rate straps, all uncoded with the same result. Just to be certain, I tried them on other machines and they all worked perfectly. I just use the polar app on my phone. kind of a pain but it works. not a deal breaker. bottom line, Great machine with a coupe flaws. I’d buy it again in a second.

    Sneaky- Sent Repackaged Item
The Schwinn AD7 Airdyne bike that I received had been repackaged, and I was not happy about that! The box, and inside contents had large amounts of transparent package tape holding things together. Amazon normally offers a discount on an item that has previously damaged packaging, or cosmetic blemishes, and markets that item as used. Due to the substantial cost of this item, I would not have taken a chance on a repackaged product, that someone else rejected and returned. That said…I could not find any damage to the bike, and only an insignificant Transport and Immobilization Strap was missing. I believe the bike itself is worthy of a good rating, and I will complain to Amazon about the repackaging. The bike is solid and smooth, and will give you whatever level of workout you want to put yourself through. I deducted a star because of the blast of air that blows into your face as the fan spins. I can overcome that problem, but a removable wind blockershould be included in the price. The $50 that Schwinn wants for a small, optional, wind screen is outrageous. Helpful information: I spent several hours researching the Schwinn Airdyne, by looking at Customer Reviews and You Tube videos. What is the difference between an Airdyne7 and an Airdyne Pro?? I was able to previously see and try out the Pro at a distant city. They wanted $1299 for it. The Pro was $999 on Amazon, while the AD7 was $899. Being a penny pinching retired senior, I took a chance and opted for the AD7 after seeing otherreviewers say that it is the same as the Pro. The AD7 that I got was the same as the Pro that I saw in the distant store. The only difference was the name on the side of the bike frame. I suspect that Schwinn wanted to charge more money for their product, and simply re-named it the Pro, and added $100 to the price. As for a wind screen, I followed the advice of another reviewer, and ordered a plastic fender/shield from Mucky Nutz on Amazon. The cost was $11-13, depending on color. It came with some velcro style tape to attach it, but small zip ties would also work. It too was overpriced. Somehow, I will solve the air blast in the face problem, I just don’t want something ugly, like duct tape, unless I have to. However, there is black duct tape, also sold on Amazon. Bottom line—I really needed to get a compact piece of exercise equipment to stay heart healthy, and believe the Schwinn Airdyne 7 will fill that need. I suspect the AD7 will not be available very long, after the supply of those with that name imprinted on it runs out. P.S. The rollers at the front are really nice for moving the unit around for cleaning under it, or moving it to another room. Best wishes and happy fitness, from a grandpa.Update: Amazon’s great customer service gave me a bit of a refund to make up for my having received a returned, repackaged item.Update- Assembly: I was able to assemble the bike by myself, even though the manual said two people were needed. It would have been nice to have my wife (she was away) hold items while I lined up screws, but it worked out ok. While some reviewers had problems with installing the handles, it was a non-issue for me. All you have to do is look at the splines on the shaft, as well as the splines on the hub of each handle, and line up the flat spot with each other. I found it helpful to use a rubber mallet to gently tap the handle hub onto the shaft, to overcome a little resistance from some paint overspray inside the hub. Then, insert the two, Right handle bolts, from front to back, and the two, Left handle bolts, from back to front. Don’t use only the ball end of the supplied allen wrench (as shown in the picture), but use the L endof the wrench to tighten the bolts properly. The handles are thus firmly secured with no wobble or play in them. I am now a Happy Camper!Update- 8 months later. Bike still smooth and wonderful. My wife and I are small people (less than 5’4″ tall), but we have lost over 20 lbs each, due to regular workouts on the bike and more sensible eating habits. Weight and blood pressure now at levels I had when 20 years old. Using the bike while watching TV makes exercise session more enjoyable.Update-Jan 2020 (almost 2 years). Bike still smooth and wonderful. Got lax and gained back 5 lbs in Nov-Dec, due to cruise type vacation plus Thanksgiving and Christmas eating. Big deal for me on weight gain. Renewed commitment to using bike (indispensable!!) and better eating. Have shed 4 of the 5 lbs. No fad diets needed. Just eating less junk and more fruit-vegetables. Could not have done it without bike, which is essential to keeping weight off, long-term. Blood pressure is at healthy young adult level. Before bike purchase, was borderline needing BP medication.

I have received this bike in A+ shipping condition. I assembled it with my daughter. The instructions were easy to follow. All the screws, tools exactly as needed, nothing missing and even the instructions books, both in french and english. I used it and it runs perfectly well. the arms do exercise at the same time as the legs. I am extremely happy since it is my first shot at bying such big equipement on internet. The Shwinn A2 bike is great and fits well in my home.

El único detalle del producto es que los pedales son muy reducidos y para gente con pie grande es complicado. Pero en general es muy bueno y con pocos minutos tienes para un buen ejercicio.

I’ve had this airdyne for over a month now and I’ve been using it for HIIT (20 seconds all-out intensity 10 seconds rest) and it hasn’t disappointed me at all. First of all, this airdyne arrived in great condition, it was easy to assemble as the instructions are very easy to understand and there isn’t much parts to assemble the airdyne. When I first got on the airdyne to do my intervals, I was gasping for air within the first 5 minutes and my thighs felt like they were going to explode. The resistance the fan offers is tough and I guarantee that your quads will feel like mince meat the next day. As far as the airdyne goes, it is very sturdy as it doesn’t wobble around when you’re on it and it also has adjustable feet for uneven surfaces. The parts are very sturdy and versatile and I have inspected the belt and bearings multiple times after use with no signs of extreme wear. Personally, I didn’t think this airdyne was up to the task of HIIT, but I was wrong which makes this airdyne ideal if you are on a budget. This airdyne is superb when it comes to increasing your fitness level and it is a good addition to my garage gym. The fan is quiet, however it is not as quiet as the AD6 or AD8. It sounds loud when you’re on it but when someone else is on it, it sounds like a Dyson tower fan which is very silent. I am very happy with this purchase and it is excellent for the price. I think that it will last me many years!

  9. Amazon Kunde
