The expiration date is stamped on the bottom of the bottle, but is difficult to read, being a very light print on a very dark bottle. You basically have to catch it in the light to read it. It appears to be 05/2026. This arrived to me May of 2024, so it has plenty of time.Product is marked as made in the USA, and the distributor is in New Jersey.This product has a California Prop65 warning on it… but honestly, if you bottled air and sold it, it would have a prop65 warning in Cali. I am not concerned by this. I’ve seen too many of those.Suggested serving size is one capsule, giving you a 250 day supply. For the price of $8.99 (at time of review), that works out to 4 cents per day. That’s pretty reasonable for a supplement.It’s kind of rare for a supplement to get by me with a five star rating, but here we are. I legit could not find anything worthy of knocking a star off for. Plus, the price is certainly nice.

Effective, Convenient and Value Price
This maca supplement in a capsule is convenient because I can take them on the road when I travel, or open a capsule into a smoothie when I am at home. I have been a big fan of maca since visiting Peru, and this product delivers the energy and well being I look for from maca. The volume and price are great, and the product is manufactured in the USA at an FDA regulated facility, which reassures me that I am using a quality, reliable product.

Sold to me expired
I bought this maca last June and every time I took it I got a rash. I’ve taken maca in the past with no problem, so this seemed weird. I started looking at the bottle, trying to pinpoint if maybe it was an added ingredient I was reacting to. Then I noticed the capsules expired may 2024, which is quite annoying because I didn’t even purchase them until June of 2024. Very dishonest for them to be sent out this way.. unfortunately I did not notice until now, January 2035, so it’s too late for a refund.

Four month supply of Maca at 1000mg/day
Being my first-time taking Maca, I don’t know exactly what to expect; however, I can say that this Herbal Secrets Maca is definitely potent by the way it smells in the bottle and during ingestion. This isn’t to say that it is a bad odor, just different; sort of how garlic isn’t bad, but takes some getting used to.Having nothing to compare it to, I seem to have more endurance after taking it for about a week. It could be just in my mind, but it really doesn’t matter as long as I feel a positive difference. For a 4-month supply of Maca taken twice a day, the selling price of $8 at the time of my review seems more than reasonable.

Energy boost
My husband swears by Maca as an energy booster. He says black maca works the best. It seems to be working fine for him, and he says he feels the difference when he doesn’t take it. This brand’s formula is pure maca with no other supplements included.
