This product is great for a vegan lifestyle as it has lots of protein. I use it as a meal replacement when I’m busy and it helps to control my appetite. It’s also healthy and contains no refined sugar. Finally it tastes good and it is a great value for the cost.

I’m a Happy Viking convert!!
Mine arrived this morning just in time for breakfast. I was mentally bracing myself for something gritty, something that was just barely likable, something like a popular shake starting with a ‘K’, or the one that starts with an ‘O’. I made my Happy Viking vanilla shake with water to get the bare bones taste and used my small electric blender. Happy Viking vanilla is good to great tasting with zero grittiness Happy Viking vanilla is the BEST super food shake I have ever tried and it will be part of my daily meal plan. I am a Happy Viking convert! Thank you Venus!!!

Works well as a breakfast replacement
In trying to lose weight, we use this as a breakfast meal replacement. We get Vanilla and Chocolate and blend them with the cold brew coffee we make at home. They taste good and keep us content through the morning.We have stainless insulated cups with a mixer ball that allows us to blend the powder by shaking it up for a minute or so. The more we shake, the smoother it blends, and doesn’t take much effort to get a good consistency. My wife also mixed the vanilla with orange juice once for a creamsicle flavor and liked that, too.

Decent protein shake.
Product came sealed as expected opened this up and the smell is very chocolaty. The shake dissolves well, but I like to use a frother. Not sure if using a blender bottle and shaking is as effective. The quality seems really good and it has 20g of protein. I use this as a breakfast replacement when needed. The only reason for 4 starts is cause like most protein shakes I have come across this still has a chalky texture. It’s not strong so that’s a good thing and it tastes really good the chocolate is impressive. Yet again, the chalky texture/taste is the reason I hate protein shakes. It’s a clean protein shake so it’s worth the investment. It doesn’t really give me a full feeling which is good and at the same time makes me still want to eat bit functionally it works well.

Outstanding!
This product is the absolute real deal. The protein source for this product works best for me. Quality is exceptional. Don’t usually pay attention to comments on the taste for a product. Mainly just interested in nutritional quality. Having said that, this product is the most pleasant tasting of any I have tried.

I mix this with Fair Life (lactose free) chocolate milk and it is good. I tried it with water but that didn’t work for me. I like the taste better with milk. It would probably be good with oat milk or almond milk, too. I drink one shake a day for lunch as a meal replacement. I recommend to anyone looking for a good meal replacement shake that will keep you satisfied for several hours.Update: After using this as a meal replacement and following a gluten free diet, I have lost weight and my labs at the doctor’s office have improved. My bad cholesterol is lower and for the first time ever, my good cholesterol has improved. My inflammation is down and I’ve had fewer “pain days.” I plan to continue this daily routine into 2025 and hope to lose even more weight.Editing to add that while I love the chocolate flavor, I recently tried the berry flavor and did not like it at all. It has a terrible after taste that I don’t notice with the chocolate. I will stay with the chocolate flavor.

New formula not as good-November 2025
I used to love this and have ordered on autoship for 2 years, but they recently changed the formula. Just opened a new container. At first, I could tell the smell was off, and it didn’t taste good. I can only speak for the chocolate, but I’m canceling my subscription. I still had my old container, so I was able to compare ingredients. In photos, the new version is on the left.

The flavor is good and it mixes well, no bad aftertaste. A little costly but overall good price for what you get.

I have tried at least three other chocolate protein powders, and Happy Viking is by far the tastiest and the one with the most nutrients. I hope that the seller offers it on a subscription option to get a regular discount.
