Better than other mineral sunscreens I’ve tried, will buy again
I have a lot of allergies, including fragrance and acrylates, so have to wear mineral sunscreens whether I like it or not. So far this one has been my favorite for efficacy and how it feels to wear. I accept that mineral sunscreens are likely going to need lots of rubbing in and leave a kind of oily and/or white film on skin, so I give myself a lot of time to rub this sunscreen in and let it “dry” while getting ready. As the day goes on, it soaks into my skin and the mild filmy feeling goes away, which does not happen with other mineral sunscreens I have tried. No noticeable white cast after initial rubbing in (I am very fair though). No weird smell which I love, and doesn’t make my skin break out. Have not worn in the pool yet but when my skin gets wet while wearing this, water beads up and rolls off which makes me feel like it’s pretty water resistant. Would probably be hard to get kids to wear as it takes a long time and some pressure to rub in, can’t even get my husband to try it lol

Superior Suncreen Brand
I am very picky about sunscreen. I’ve tried brands from all price points — Trader Joe’s, drugstore through high-end skin care brands (Clarins is my favorite, especially their face-specific products, but the products are pricey.) My dermatologist suggested I try Blue Lizard sunscreen. I love it and it’s now my go-to for myself and my family. The lotion is easy to apply and achieves even coverage. It is not oily, so I use it daily without concern that it will ruin my clothes. It’s water and sweat-proof. It’s great for the beach, pool, gardening (doesn’t attract bugs), and sports. I appreciate that after I shower, my skin feels very clean and I don’t feel like there is still greasy residue. There is an easy spray version and fast to apply to children who are like professional wrestlers when you try to apply sunscreen on their bodies.

I would give this a 9.5/10. It is an almost perfect sunscreen. I normally burn SO easily, I have fair skin. I applied this one time during a kayaking day trip, not a cloud in the sky, and was out there for hours. I did not burn where I applied it. The photo is to show where I missed applying it.Right now my partner is lying in bed with nearly 3rd degree burns lookin like a lobster because he didn’t use this sunscreen on the same trip, and I have a beautiful soft tan, no burn right now on the rest of my body.This sunscreen wasn’t greasy at all. It’s all mineral and felt good to apply. No color transfer, no bleeding of color on plastic bags and clothes.I’ve given it -0.5 for 2 reasons, I wouldn’t use it everyday as it did put temporary sunscreen streaks on my polyester dry-wicking shorts the other day (none the kayak day though) and reason 2 is it leaves a white cast on the face only, so I wouldn’t use it on the face. HOWEVER, worth noting I normally have bad acne and this product did not make me break me out at all.

It works. Period.
I burn every time I’m in the sun. This has been a thing for at least 10 years. And I apply sunscreen thoroughly. Neutrogena, coppertone, banana boat, you name it I’ve tried it. After some extensive googling, I found out that I probably needed a sunblock NOT a sunscreen. Didn’t know there was a difference. Unfortunately sunblock is not something that is really marketed anymore. However after more googling, I learned that mineral sunscreen is technically a sunblock due to the different active ingredients and how it protects. The pros for this? It works. That’s it. That’s the pro. The cons: as an African American woman, the product 100% leaves a white cast. I spent time rubbing it in throughly and still looked like Casper. I also found that after lathering and rinsing several times in the shower, it wasn’t washing off so easily. In a way that’s good cause it’s clearly water resistant, but after a day at the beach I was ready to have this off. It’s also a tad sticky. I did slightly burn in a few areas but only because those are spots that I didn’t hit with a good application. And the burns aren’t nearly half as bad as they normally are. I won’t buy another brand. Ever.

This is one of the best sunscreens I’ve purchased. Not only is it effective but also soothing on the skin. Takes a little time to rub in for no white cast but a little goes a long way.

This stuff works pretty good. I bought this sunscreen to use on a trip to Las Vegas. It goes on pretty thick and chalky, you have to wipe it down with a cloth or paper towel once applied. Let it set for about 30 seconds before wiping it down. It leaves a slight sheen, but not much, and you feel protected. On one day, I even used it on my face with no ill effects, which is not always the case for facial sunscreens and me. Many cause irritation or itching, some even cause a rash. I did feel the need to wash my face at the end of the day, though. No sunburn or other ill effects.
