We have a short-term rental in a community with lots of bike paths, so we provide mostly cheap used bikes for people to get around on. There’s enough strollers and dog-walkers you really need to have bells on all the bikes for safety. 2 of our bikes actually have some value, so I decided equipping them with air-tags would make us feel better. This bell unit hits on both accounts…it’s an easy way to stash an airtag while also providing a bell. The $15 price feels a little steep to me so -1 star, but unless I want to order something from Asia, I didn’t find an option like this for a much better price.

Loud bell with security feature
When I purchased my e-bike years ago, it came with an app and tracking device. However, a few years ago, the company went out of business and the app and GPS tracking disappeared. I was so happy when I discovered the EQIIO Bike Bell with hidden Apple Airtag. I now have the exact same safety feature again for my e-bike. Plus, since this bell is louder than the horn on my bike, it does a better job alerting other bikes and pedestrians while passing.This bell fits well on my bike’s handlebars and includes everything you need for installation. It’s easy to install by sliding on and using the included tools to tighten the bell to the handlebar. Once on, it doesn’t move or rattle. Since the bell also comes with directions on the box and a helpful manual, installing the AirTag is also easy.I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a loud bell and at the same time would like to add another security feature to their bike.

Great Concept With A Problematic Implementation
A bike bell is a great way to alert pedestrians you are approaching and the EQIIO Bike Bell has that right sort of sound. The inclusion of an Apple AirTag tracking option would seem to be a great additional feature but the implementation here is tedious. Be aware that this product is limited to handlebars that are <25.5mm in diameter, precluding its use in most adult bicycles. That said, the bell has a nice aesthetic with an antique metal finish. The additional challenge is installing the AirTag and mounting the bell or, at a later time, removing the bell and replacing the AirTag which will two separate Allen wrenches (provided), two Allen wrenches that you will have to keep track of for when they're needed. While this product will do what it says, its use is problematic and limited to smaller bicycle handlebars.

Design makes it obvious it holds an airtag
The build quality itself is acceptable with it being almost entirely made of plastic except the bell itself. It mounts easily and the bell is easy to ring and is quite loud when the hammer is pulled back all the way.The main selling point of this though, to hide an airtag, could be better. Installation of the airtag (and replacing the airtag’s battery) is a bit of a hassle, as you need to remove the entire unit to unscrew the various screws to access the compartment that holds the airtag. This is unlike some other bells with hidden airtags where you can just unscrew the part holding the airtag without unbolting the entire unit. In theory this is good as it theoretically makes it harder to remove the airtag when found..That being said, the design makes it pretty obvious that there is -something- on top of the bell that is very close to the size and thickness of an airtag, so it won’t take long at all for someone to find it.
