Superb Organic Feminine Hygiene Pads
August has created an excellent range of products & I recently received the Super pads that I can say are superb. Packed into a small box in two rows, they measure about 10-1/2 x3”, are extremely absorbent, slim, and comfortable. Obviously I chose them for their organic ingredients and am pleased that these allow me to have super absorbency in addition to comfort because these are cloud-soft. The adhesion is excellent & works on panties of varying fiber content. They stay-put until I’m ready to remove them! Though the wrappers are made well great, and discrete, they’re of paper but have the strength of plastic. As explained below, there’s a wrapper glue issue that isn’t a problem at home, but can be annoying when using them elsewhere. The backsheet is slick & glossy, resistant to fluids too, and easy to mistake for plastic but it’s surprisingly plant based PLA! Bravo! Labeled: Made in China.The box I received has some quality control issues, but it doesn’t affect their usage. Starting with the carton, there’s too much glue, pretty much everywhere. I had to use a utility knife to break through a glob of glue along the top opening of the box, and similarly, inside each pad’s overwrap are 3 huge globs of glue to break through just to open up each pad. I am only commenting on it just in case it helps August, but want to be clear it didn’t ruin the product, it’s just difficult to open each individual pad in the same way it was to open the box.Though the product was provided under Amazon’s Vine program, I used the item as I would any purchase, and wrote an unbiased, honest review based on my experience.

I’ve been on a mission to ditch anything with sketchy chemicals in my period routine, and these August pads are honestly a game-changer. I grabbed the super absorbent ones, and right off the bat, they’re packed neatly in a compact box—two tidy rows of these slim beauties that clock in around 10.5 by 3 inches. They’re made with organic cotton that feels like a dream, super plush and gentle, but don’t let the thin profile fool you; they soak up everything without a hint of bulk or discomfort. The sticky wings and base grip like champs on all my undies, from cotton to synthetics, and they don’t budge until I’m done with them.What really sold me is how eco-smart they are—the wrappers are compostable paper that somehow holds up like the plastic ones I used to hate, and that glossy backsheet? It’s plant-based PLA, slick and leak-proof, but zero plastic vibes. Made in China, sure, but the quality shines through.My only tiny gripe—and it’s not a dealbreaker—is the glue situation. The box had some overzealous adhesive sealing the top, so I ended up grabbing scissors to pry it open without wrecking the carton. Same deal with each individual wrapper: a couple of stubborn glue spots mean you gotta tug a bit harder to unwrap, which is fine at home but a little awkward in a public stall if you’re trying to be ninja-quiet. Doesn’t mess with performance at all, just something August might tweak for next time.On the plus side, these are wider than I’m used to, which had me side-eyeing my XS panties at first—they do peek a smidge on the sides. But they’re so insanely thin that under jeans or anything, you can’t tell they’re there. No lines, no fuss. I wouldn’t rely on them solo for my heaviest flow days, but paired with a tampon? Total backup hero for leak protection. The cotton top sheet beats those mesh-lined ones hands down for comfort and keeping things fresh-smelling.

Shocked at how comfortable these are!
I am SHOCKED at how much I love these! I am not a pad girl first of all. I got them anyway, because it’s always good to have some on hand, and decided to test them out. They are SO much softer than traditional store-bought pads! They have flex to them, they’re not stiff and papery, not noisy or bunchy, the wings don’t get stuck on themselves, the fit is great. Honestly I love these so much that I keep raving about them to my poor husband who has to listen.As far as absorbency, I haven’t had a heavy enough flow to truly put them to the test, but what I did have absorbed well. Again the fit is great, which is usually my biggest issue with pads. The adhesive works well without getting residue on my fingers. I did have one of the backings stick to the pad rather than the wrapper – easy to fix, but just a minor flaw.The price is also not terrible – again I don’t really use pads, so I don’t know how price compares to others, but to cents each seems reasonable for the use.These will absolutely be my new go-to for pads!!

Soft, skin friendly pads with great ingredients and good protection
These pads feel noticeably softer than the usual drugstore ones because of the organic cotton topsheet. They’re gentle on the skin and don’t cause irritation, which is a big deal during heavier days when everything feels more sensitive. The ultra-thin design is comfortable and still manages to hold a medium flow pretty well without feeling bulky.The compostable wrappers are a nice touch if you care about reducing waste, and the pads themselves feel clean and breathable since they’re fragrance free and toxin free. They stay in place most of the time, though on very active days they can shift a little more than thicker pads.
