This maca root has done wonders for my digestion, alleviating monthly cramps, and has boost my energy. The ingredients are quality, making this an excellent value for the cost. There is a simple blend of healthy ingredients without going overboard with too many fillers. The capsules have no taste and fit well in a travel pill case.

Alturawise Maca Root Etc supplement – checks almost all boxes for trustworthiness; gave me energy
I like taking maca root in the afternoon because it helps me have sustained energy for getting a few things done in the evening without the jitters and sleep issues drinking coffee in the afternoon causes. This did what I hoped for when I took it at about 2 in the afternoon. I only take two though, not the recommended three, because it has Ashwagandha and there are verified reports where too much Ashwagandha has caused liver failure. Taking two gives me 600 mgs of Maca, which is close to the 750 mgs per serving in my favorite, but pricey, Maca coffee.I appreciate so much that the full list of ingredients is shown on the promotional page, the certifications that the product has received, the fact that there is an email address and customer care number, and that they at least have an Amazon page and if you click on their “sold by” link you can find their address etc. The only thing that could make it meet all my trustworthy standards is if they had a website of their own. Outside of that though, I feel they did what they should in taking responsibility for their product, and I did not hesitate to take it.

Good mix of ingredients, could have a higher amount of maca; results pending
I’ve taken maca before to enhance libido, but I haven’t tried it mixed with some of the other ingredients included in this product. When I first ordered this, I thought it was 1500mg of maca, but the product actually has 900 mg of maca per serving and the rest of it is the other ingredients.The manufacturing date and expiration date are both listed on the bottle, which I always like. It’s good to know when something was made & not just when it’s best by. The bottle was sealed well and there was no unusual smell when I opened it.The capsules are the usual size for an herbal supplement and easy to swallow. I haven’t noticed any difference when using them yet, but this is the type of thing that often takes a little while to notice a difference.My only concern is that this company is from India and there is no clear indication of where the ingredients come from (I assume the ingredients are from India); other than their word, there’s nothing to go on regarding purity or if the listed amounts of ingredients are in the capsules.

it works, but don’t take it before bed
Maca is something I only discovered in the last year or so, but I’ve been taking it more or less consistently during this time, and I’ve noticed results – they’re slight, which is what I expect of a supplement. It isn’t a pharmaceutical, it isn’t particularly strong, but it works.This particular product comes with four additional ingredients: ashwagandha, ginseng, and two that I already get a lot of in my diet, turmeric and pepper.Now, when I get a new supplement, I check the label for misleading or deceptive claims. If there’s anything shady on the label, the product gets a bad review.On this one, there’s a claim I’d never heard before. In answering the question as to which is better, the raw herb or the concentrated powder, I expected it to say concentrated is more potent or something to that effect. But instead it said, “The raw maca root contains complex starches that are almost impossible to digest… [and which] interfere with the absorption of nutrients…” I looked it up in my favorite large language model AI, and it confirmed this, saying, “In their raw form, the starches in maca root can interfere with the absorption of nutrients.”So, there’s something I didn’t know before. Another thing I didn’t know until I’d been taking a maca supplement for a couple months is that it has mild stimulant properties. It goes well with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning, but I don’t take it in the evening if I’m planning on sleeping that night.

Labeling indicates product is processed in a GMP certified facility, under ISO, non GMO, and is kosher.Inspection did not yield any off odors, scents or appearance. Instructions state to take three capsules daily. Each serving deliver 900 mg of maca root extract (black, red, yellow), 200 mg of ashwaghanda, 200 mg of turmeric, 200 mg of panax ginseng, and 5 mg of black pepper extract.I personally did not encounter any adverse or allergic reactions or any digestive issues using this product. I will update this review should I experience any tangible effects, whether positive or negative.
