Best Flavor Among Plant-Based Protein Powders
A couple years ago I decided to find a plant-based protein powder with no added sugar or sweetener. I have used regular whey protein for several years and they’re fine, but plant-based is much better for you. I use them right before I run or lift weights (I know, many people say wait until after) and get a better workout that way.So I took a chance on the regular organic Garden of Life organic protein. While not crazy about vanilla, the chocolate is great. Sometimes I mix it with almond milk for lifting weights, but not for running as it’s a bit heavy. For running I use water. I fell in love with it right away although I get why not everyone likes the flavor; it’s because it does not taste like muscle milk and the like, that are loaded with sugar and pollutants.Fast forward two years and I have bought and like the one with greens too. It’s great. Flavor tastes a little like yard work but still, it’s great.Then I tried the Creamy Vanilla Cookie one, which is pretty good. Not a home run for me but good.Then, I tried the Creamy Chocolate Brownie flavor. HOLY WOW! It tastes like desert and has all the nice ingredients of the regular powder. Seriously, this is great and I plan to put it into rotation. I rotate Garden of Life flavors so I do not tire of one too soon.Final note. I use these to help with sweetness cravings since I have a sugar addiction. Managing metabolic balance is of utmost importance to avoid diabetes. This has been a huge help especially when they create a flavor like the chocolate brownie that is amazing. Keep it up and bring us more, please.Highly recommended.

Very Sweet
Makes great oatmeal, but for a shake it tends to be too sweet for my liking. It almost taste like there’s too much stevia added to it. The macros on it on amazing though and garden of life is a brand I always recommend. The texture isn’t chalky, and the size is pretty good for its value considering the clean ingredients. Just be aware of how sweet it could be. I add powdered peanut butter to it.

I absolutely love these protein shakes. I find it much more creamy if you use coconut or almond milk. I haven’t tried it with regular milk. There isn’t that strong aftertaste as many pea protein shakes have. To me this pea protein taste is very subtle, I bought bough vanilla and chocolate and I love both. It’s blends pretty easy, but you gotta shake it well in a protein shaker bottle. I don’t get clumps if I shake well. I was a little concerned as it had some fermented ingredients this can make my intestines act out but I risked it and tried it anyway and my GI seem to be doing okay with this powder. Overall I love how rich the flavor is. I’m definitely pleased with this product. And best of all the price is right.

Does not taste great
I am not one to write reviews, but as someone who is desperately trying to find a plant-based protein that tastes good, I thought a review might help someone else.I will say, this protein has, by far, the best texture of the plant-based proteins I’ve tried so far. It mixes well, is creamy and not very gritty like others. However, this does not taste like brownie. It doesn’t even taste like chocolate. I can’t even decide what it tastes like but it doesn’t taste good. I could let it slide that it doesn’t taste like chocolate brownie if the flavor was at least pleasant. I even tried adding chocolate syrup just out of curiosity and even that didn’t help.So now, I will continue my seemingly fruitless search for a plant based protein that tastes good while also being affordable. It makes me sad that I’ve become lactose intolerant. I miss my whey protein.

Tastes good but….
Love the taste but this gives me really bad gas and bloating. Between the fermenting and the pre/probiotics, the effect is just not doable. Maybe some can digest it well but I have used it for 5 days and I’m so uncomfortable every day that I have to give it away. Will not be buying again.
