Great shake for a cancer patient!
I actually like this product for the high protein it contains while keeping sugars down. This is exactly the type of shake I need for my elderly father to drink while he is going through treatment for cancer. He is diabetic and I had to search around for low sugar versions that he could drink. I am so thankful to have this shake as a supplement to his meals. My mom drinks the regular Ensure. But the chocolate taste and the quality of the shake is good. The shakes are a bit pricey. But when you need them, you really need them!

Horrible slimy chunks that won’t shake out.
Disgusting slimy chunks throughout even if you shake it violently for a very long time. Vomit inducing texture trying to choke it down. Have no problems with regular Boost texture but this is thick, chunky & disgusting.

Best tasting protein shake from Boost.
I used to having many different protein shakes over the years, and sometimes they are chalky, or they have a weird aftertaste. This is smooth. It doesn’t cause me constipation like many brands do. It really tastes great – whether it’s room temp or cold. I didn’t struggle my energy. I actually have been out of them about a week. I’m realizing that they really did give me good energy daily, so I can’t wait for my other subscription package to arrive, so I could one of these daily. I use one as lunch or sometimes to offset night time cravings.

Most Boost is great – this stuff has floating solids; makes me want to gag…
My regular selection of Boost (20g protein w/3g fiber) was unavailable, so I ordered this stuff. The first carton that I drank had floating solids; probably just congealed contents…or so I thought. Since then EVERY one of the five more cartons I have consumed so far have ALL had the same floating solids, sort of like drinking chunky milk… I tried shaking it hard when it was cold, shaking it hard when it was warm, pouring it in a cup and stirring it, spinning it in a blender – none of that worked. If this stuff wasn’t so expensive (for my budget) I’d toss it out. Plus the return window has closed, but I doubt I could have returned a partial quantity anyway. The only positive is the great chocolate taste!
